TIGER FIGS

Tiger figs are a variety of fig that is known for its unique appearance. The figs have a yellow-green skin with dark green stripes, which resemble the stripes of a tiger. The flesh of the fig is pinkish-red and has a sweet and fruity flavor. The texture is soft and juicy, with tiny seeds that add a slight crunch.

With a vibrant center and a jam-like consistency, each bite has a burst of flavors like raspberry and honey. These figs are available from mid-July through November.

SIERRA FIGS

Wet and mild with a soft and creamy interior,  Sierra Figs make for the perfect, sweet snack. Developed in 2005, The Sierra Fig is native to the Central Valley of California. 

  • Availability: Mid-May through December

  • Flavor: Light Riesling, Honey, Fruity

  • Coloring: Light to Dark-Green

BLACK MISSION FIGS

The Black Mission Fig is named after the mission fathers who planted them in the US in the late 18th century. Commonly grown in California, these figs are small to medium-sized with a deep purple-black color when ripe and a sweet, rich flavor.

  • Availability: May through Mid-December

  • Flavor: Fruity, Earthy Cabernet, Honey

  • Coloring: Purple, Black, Violet

BROWN TURKEY FIGS

Brown Turkey figs are a type of fig that is commonly grown in the United States. They are named after their brownish-purple skin color and their sweet, rich flavor. The figs are medium-sized, with a slightly elongated shape and a pinkish flesh. They have a delicate and sweet taste, with a hint of berry flavor. Brown Turkey figs are often eaten fresh, but they can also be used in baking, cooking, and making preserves. They are a good source of fiber, potassium, and other essential nutrients, and are typically in season from late summer to early fall.
